I started to learn English when I was in kindergarten. But it wasn't until my first year on high school when I really take this subject seriously. I like the grammatical structure of this language, so I only study the grammar at my school, because I never was good speaking English, but I like to listen movies, series, song and people speaking English, so maybe one day I could speak English well. I would like to take advange of this subject at University, but I prioritized the other subjects but still that I think than now I can speak more English, maybe not excellent but my classmates understand me, and I lost my fear to speak English in public. About the blogs, I think they help me to learn new words and make texts about a lot of matter and I think this is amazing and a good advance. I'm studying Biochemistry (I'm in the first year), and since the last year, in the University of Chile implement a new study programme. Honestly, the study programme that we have is so good. When I was looking for the place to study Biochemistry, I see different study programmes and that of the University of Chile was the only one that I liked, because have a lot of chemistry and I love chemistry more than biology, so I prefer study here. So, until now, I will don't change anything of that study programme. The only problem is the length of studies, in this University during 11 semesters (almost 6 years) and in others countries only during 4 years, so I would like to change that. The year is ending, and the Holidays are near (and my birthday too)! I love the Summer because all days are sunny, and this makes me so happy, I can eat ice creams, swimming in my pool, wear dress and shorts and sleep😍. The days are longer, and we can enjoy more the sun! When the academic year finish I will sleep so much for recover energy for start to enjoy the Summer! After that I will start to plan what I will do to my birthday, Christmas and the new year celebration. Honestly, I have an addiction with the tea. I have this addiction since this year. I don't remember the reason why I started to drink tea all day, but I love it! Different kinds of tea In a day, I can drink 3 or 4 cup of tea, it's not too much, but their cups of tea are indispensables. I drink one in the breakfast, one after the lunch, one (or two) in the afternoon and sometime one before sleep. Usually, I drink green tea, black tea and infusion of chamomile. Drink tea or infusions have a lot of benefits and damages when you drink it in excess. The benefits depend of what kind of tea you drink, for example, some benefits of green tea are help you to lose weight and calm the stress, the benefit of black tea is keep you awake (and others benefits but for me this is the most important), the benefits of infusion of chamomile are calm all your body and reduce inflammation of the digestive system. Now for me is to difficult talk about a some postgraduate study I will like to do when I finish my career, because I'm in my first year here, but in our times is necessary have some degree to have a good job, so I think I will have to have some kind of speciality. I will like to have a master degree in biochemistry and after that I will like to have a PhD degree in biomedical sciences. I like the PhD degree in biomedical sciences in the faculty of Medicine (University of Chile) because they give you the posibility to take trades like your preference, one of them is Inmunology and Virology, this is the area who I like much because I like the idea of investigate about illness or patogenic and the effect in the human body or in the animal body, I would like to know more about the mechanism of the inmunology system. Well, until now I have never think what kind of job I would like to have when I finish my career so I will talk about the job I would like to have soon, maybe in this summer... who knows! I have so many hobbies, because in my free time I do different things, some of them are see movies or series, sleep, dance, sing, play some videogames, listen music, take some photos, walk on the streets with someone and eat.❤ My favourite hobby is sing . The human body has five amazing senses in it's system, the vision, the smell, the touch, the taste and the hearing.  It is difficult decide what is my favourite and talk to only one senses so today I will talk about all of them succinctly: Hearing: Someone who loves hear the music (like me)   It's a power to hear the music, the sounds, the noise, ours voice and the voice to the other persons. In my life I went to a lot of concerts, but I have the best memories of one festival of music called Lollapalooza. Logo of the festival. I went to the festival this year with my parents, it was my first festival and I was fascinated with the idea to see so many artists in the same place and for two days . Someday in my life I would like to visit Europe, specifically some place to Germany, Italy, England, France, Spain, Holland, Denmark and Greece. I have never been in these countries but my dad was living for around of 15 years in Germany. He knows most of these countries and he had some friends who live in one of these. Hi partners, today we writing our last blog of the semester and I would like to tell you my process. I have never liked writing much, less about me; because I think it isn’t easy find the words, less in English, this is a big challenge haha. In my first blog, I had much difficult. I never in my life had written a blog or some like this but with the others blog I learned to expound on me and over time, it made easier for me. As I told you before, my dream is find a cure of some sickness or maybe find a good therapy to improve the life of patients. The immunotherapy is a type of treatment to cancer which consist in stimulate or recover the Immune system against cancer, infections or others sickness as well as reduce the side effects of some aggressive therapies against cancer. This therapy can be used preventatively (for example with vaccine) or for therapeutic purposes  (for example with proteins, with microorganisms genetically modified or with patient cells genetically modified). It is important in the area where I like to develop because the biochemists can produce the vaccine, the proteins and the genetically modified organisms. I fascinate the idea of produce this and improve the lives of others. Hi guys! Today I will talk about to my favourite in this semester. In general, I think all subject are important and are amazing in this career, but I love Laboratory Technniques ❤ , because I never had laboratory activities in my school and I longed to be in laboratories. Thanks this subject I met the laboratory materials, some chemical compounds what I never had seen before, I learned the laboratory rules, to prepare solutions, did a titration and other things what I don't remember now. This subject is divided in two sections, the theory class and the practical class. The theory class during one hour and the practical class during three hours (the best three hours of the week 😃). In the practical class we often worked alone but the last laboratory we worked in pair and that experience it was nice. When I was six years old I read my first book, but this book I had to read for school and not for my decision. My parents read fairly but they never gave me a book not ever my family. After, when I was fourteen years old I decided to buy a book (my first book official!) This book was "Hush, hush", because some friends recommended me this book. It's the first book in the "Hush, hush" saga. It was the best decision I ever made. This book and this saga make me love books. I love the love between a normal person and a fallen angel (Nora and Patch<3) and the world in which they were immersed. I recommended this saga to the people who love "fantastic world". You can see me so happy with my grandmother and my best friend.  My grandmother died in 2004 and she was so special for me in my childhood, I love her so much and I always remember her. The music always has been the most important thing in my life, because I do everything listen music, do my homework, read a book, do the dishes, in the bad, when I walk, and this things principally. I can’t live without music. The kind the music what I love is Rock. Why rock? Because they used normally instrument and that make the music sound more real. When I was born the cell phones already exist but more like a typical telephone. You only can receive calls  and call someone, but they were to interesting to everybody. Cellphone of 2000 After a few years a lot of cell phone's model came on, some like this: They become even better that the ancient generation. But this generation of cell phones has everything you think, and now they call "smartphones" Smartphone of 2015-2017. This is the reason because I love smartphones, especially mine. I start to study Biochemistry this year, after thirteen years at school. Why ? When I was fourteen years ago my dream was discover the cure of cancer or another illness and I thought medicine was the road. After months to looked into this career I realized this isn't what I wanted. In 2015 I discovered that I loved Chemistry and Biology and all that bound together and I started to seach in Google what career unit these sciences and the internet browser show me the career of BIOCHEMISTRY  . I never listened this career before and this called my attention. My name is Valeria Olavarría. I'm the only son of my parents.  They met when my dad returned of Germany after twenty years in this place in a pub club. I was born in Santiago of Chile in 1998, more specific in December, 21 ( the day of "the end of the world" ). My parents got married one year after I born. We live in San Miguel since I was born in a big house because this house was of the family of my dad and in this place lived ten person but it's comfortable. I like sing (with all my ❤), listen music, dance, see movies and series, play games and sleep.
